Christian Life :: Life in the Spirit

September 17–October 22
Taught by The Rev. Steve Whitney
Sundays, 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m., Soulé Hall (Bldg 500)

Life In The SpiritYou’ve probably read about the ways the Holy Spirit works through people in the New Testament, but what is the Holy Spirit doing in the 21st Century? In this class, we’ll explore six ways the Spirit is still at work in the lives of Christians today, starting with the Bible and then providing space for people to share and discuss their experiences.  (Sharing is optional.)

We’ll start with “How Christians receive the Holy Spirit in Modern Times” and then move to the work of the Spirit: source of wisdom, guide in life (“Lord of the Conscience”), giver of spiritual gifts, the one who calls us to God’s work, and healer/comforter in life.

The class series Christian Life will explore how our Christian faith is the basis and foundation of how we live out our lives. All Discipleship classes are designed to build upon one another; however, each class is structured so that you can come when you can.

Pre-registration for this class is requested but not necessary. Sign up here.

Free child care is available by reservation only no later than September 10 for this class. To reserve child care, send your RSVP to .
