Ski Camping
There is nothing more pristine than an untracked glade of fresh snow! Some of us will discover this in the spring as we move out each morning into the winter forest with nothing but our skis, our packs, and each other.
The ski camping trip is for cross-country skiers who are able to move in the snow with packs on their backs. We will ski out into the Sierra Nevada and make ourselves a home where the quiet of the woods is further dampened by the sweep of the snow. We will learn snow camping skills, explore the ridges and meadows of the California mountains, and make time to let the vast silence blanket us in the mystery of reflection.
An alternative lodging option is to stay at Lake Alpine cabins and day trip out into the snow (cost increases accordingly).
