About Worship

We have three dynamic, unique, and joy-filled worship services each Sunday. At all three services, the focus is the same. The sermon may be presented in different ways as reflected by the style of worship. Learn more about Why We Worship The Way We Do in this reflection by Rev. Nancy Harrington.

There is no "dress code" at Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church, although dress varies from "business casual" to even "Sunday best" in the mornings, and to more casual in the evenings. We welcome everyone no matter what they are wearing.

Sermon at Early LightEarly Light at 7:50 a.m. on Sunday mornings offers a contemplative worship format of prayer, singing, and communion each Sunday. There are times of meditative silence. There is no church school or childcare at this service. Join us in the courtyard for a cup of coffee afterwards and meet the pastor and other worshipers.

Sermon at 10 a.m.

Traditional worship is at 10 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Communion is served the first Sunday of the month. Organ and piano are featured in worship as well as a traditional choir. There is childcare and church school for children at this hour. Join us in the courtyard afterwards for a cup of juice or coffee. Stop by the Welcome Booth for a guest gift and answers to any of your questions. It's a good opportunity to meet the pastors as well as other worshipers.

Music at IntersectionsIntersections at 5 p.m. on Sunday evenings is our contemporary, casual worship service. The worship band features guitars, drums, keyboards, and singers. Communion is served the first Sunday of the month.
