Surviving The Holidays

Saturday, November 3, 10 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

This seminar and lunch is led by the Rev. Libby Boatwright and trained group leaders who have suffered loss. Previous participants have said the coping skills and strategies they learned helped to enhance their holiday time. A suggested donation of $7.50 will cover the book and lunch. Saturdays, January 19, 26, February 2, 9, 9 a.m.–12:30 p.m., Fireside Room

This four-week class, led by Rev. Dr. Libby Boatwright, is a video seminar featuring speakers combined with small group discussion led by trained facilitators who have experienced loss. Each session allows participants to talk about how they are dealing with the death of a loved one. The cost is $15 for the workbook; snacks and lunch are provided. Seniors in Service

First Monday of each month, 9:50 a.m.–noon., Fellowship Hall (Bldg 300)

Join us on the first Monday of each month for service projects. Projects include food sorting from the monthly food donations, counting and attendance, administrative help (sorting, folding, stapling various communication pieces), assisting with various departments at church, helping with homeless shelter projects such as soap bags and lunch preparation for drop-in homeless shelters. Please join us for a wonderful morning of service and fellowship.
