Pilgrims of Ibillin

What We Buy and Who We Buy From Matters for Peace

The Israel/Palestine Mission Network of the PC(USA) encourages you to consider your shopping choices carefully. Recent actions of our denomination call for the boycott of all Israeli products coming from the occupied Palestinian Territories. For more information visit the Israel/Palestine Mission Network of the Presbyterian Church (USA).

The Pilgrims of Ibillin is a group which supports and promotes the peacemaking work of Father Elias Chacour, a Melkite Catholic Priest of Christian Palestinian descent who has built schools (kindergarten through college) in Ibillin, Israel where Christian, Muslin and Jewish students study together in harmony. Father Chacour believes that peace will come in Israel when people of all three faiths learn to live together and recognize what they share in common. To learn more about the Pilgrims of Ibillin and the Mar Elias Educational Institution in Israel, visit the national website www.pilgrimsofibillin.org.

Occasional progams are offered to provide education for our church and community on issues related to the Middle East.  Often those programs are offered in conjunction with the Jewish Voice for Peace group, which holds its meetings on our church campus.
